ANTHROPOMORPHIC TEST DEVICES DUMMY
All these dummies are manufactured and certified in Japan to be specified under CFR 49, Parts 572. These dummies are used for a kind of car crash tests, frontal impact and frontal offset impact. For pedestrian dummy, it is used for R&D purposes, such like evaluation for pedestrian, cyclist or rider injury.

HEADFORM IMPACTOR
This Headform Impactor is used in regulatory or NCAP test for pedestrian safety toward the car crush in the world. The impactor is propelled to car bonnet and/or windshield, and then HIC is calculated.
FLEX-PLI GTR
This Flex-PLI has high biofidelity, especially to its center bone part which is moulded with glass fiber reinforced plastic with thin wraps, that provides the flexibility and stiffness with high reliability, repeatability and durability. It is equipped four full bridge strain gages in Tibia and three full bridge strain gages in Femur with small power amplifiers on bone core to measure the bending moment in each.
The Knee part are composed of sharply machined aluminium condyles and jointed by steel cables and springs, which replicates the ligament in the real human knee.
Four sets of string potentiometers are located inside of knee condyle to measure LCL, MCL, ACL and PCL. It was designed to make the test easier and to handle test in free flight motion.
CALIBRATION and CERTIFICATION
JASTI conducts calibration tests on all dummies and parts that require a calibration test certification based on CFR 49 Part 572 before delivery. As a dummy manufacturer, we have a vast amount of experience not only with consistency in dummies, but in achieving consistency in calibration test equipment, to minimize the problem (difference).
Our test also check parts for high quality, durability, and of course for repeatability/ reproducibility.
